Yoga is a great practice for both the body and the mind. It is an art and science of healthy living. Yoga is a very healthy practice that has brought unbelievable results in the lives of people who have inculcated this in their daily routine. It offers peace and mindfulness to its lovers and helps them to get through daily stress.

"Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom." - Buddha

In the morning we attended the yoga class. It was handled by a professional yoga expert. We practiced few asanas and exercises. It offered us an extra pack of energy and relief to our body and mind.



During the next session, Deepthi ma'am took class on 'Maxims of Learning'

  • Simple to Complex
  • Specifc to General
  • Concrete to Abstract
  • Definite to Indefinite
  • Part to Whole
  • Easy to Difficult
Anju delivered a good thought to the whole class. 'Reading and Reflection' handled by Arya focussed on S.K Pottekkatt's ഒരു ദേശത്തിന്റെ കഥ. Further, Shalu presented her assignment topic, Growth of Mathematics.




In the afternoon session, we had classes managed by M.Ed interns from Govt. College, Thycaud. The first session was taken by Revathy ma'am. She discussed about Computer Assisted Instructions ( CAI ) and Different Methods of Delivery.

CAI is an interactive instructional technique whereby a computer is used to present the instructional material and monitor the learning that takes place.



And then Dona ma'am explained to us - Intelligence, Nature and Characteristics of Intelligence, Multiple Intelligence.




Later, Shabana ma'am rendered us a detailed class on - Formal, Informal and Non-Formal Education along with their characteristics.

The final session for the day was handled by Sathyalekha ma'am. She dealt with the topic 'Education and Democracy'.

"Democracy is a government of the people, by the people and for the people" - Abraham Lincoln

She made a discussion on the basic principles of democracy and the need of education for democracy.

Into the Land of St. Joseph's HSS 🔥

  Lux at Caritas ( Light and Love ) 🪔 It was the very first day of our School Induction Programme. I was allotted to St Joseph's HSS, Trivandrum. We are a team of 10 students. We reached the school premises at 9:00 am. Around 9:20 am, we met the school Headmaster John sir. He provided us the necessary instructions that we ought to follow during our induction programme. He also introduced to us Binu sir, who would guide us throughout this programme. The first bell rang at 9:30 am. My teammates Arunima and Silpa got the opportunity to engage students from class 9G. Despite being nervous at the beginning, they did their part exceptionally good. Well.. during the next period, my classmate Lekshmi and I were asked to attend class 7C.
