Into the Land of St. Joseph's HSS ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Lux at Caritas ( Light and Love ) ๐Ÿช”

It was the very first day of our School Induction Programme. I was allotted to St Joseph's HSS, Trivandrum. We are a team of 10 students. We reached the school premises at 9:00 am. Around 9:20 am, we met the school Headmaster John sir. He provided us the necessary instructions that we ought to follow during our induction programme. He also introduced to us Binu sir, who would guide us throughout this programme.

The first bell rang at 9:30 am. My teammates Arunima and Silpa got the opportunity to engage students from class 9G. Despite being nervous at the beginning, they did their part exceptionally good.

Well.. during the next period, my classmate Lekshmi and I were asked to attend class 7C. It was a very special moment indeed. I was addressed as a teacher for the first time in life. Ahh... the feeling was magical and I find it difficult to put it in words. We taught them English for some time, and then managed themselves in activities and games. The students were lovely and I personally felt an emotional attachment to 7C. The moments I would treasure all through my life ❤️

And then it was time for us to observe the school in detail. Binu sir assisted us and provided the fundamental details regarding this. We visited the school's Computer Lab, Biology Lab, Chemistry Lab. It was well arranged and kept clean. The school chapel is a place of serenity and peace. Further we examined the mini auditorium, library, staffroom, NCC and SPC sections. We came to know that the school has organized several awareness programmes in the past. The fitness centre of the school was the show stealer! Sanju Samson is one among the school's notable alumni. Finally, we visited the open auditorium and kitchen section.

During the third period, Meenu and Preethy handled class 5F. They had a good experience and were really happy about it. Then it was lunch time. We carefully observed the mid-day meal scheme at school, and heartily accepted the lunch they offered us.

In the afternoon hours, we made a close reference to the school magazine and handbook. We grabbed plenty of information and notable characteristics of the school from this. On the whole, it was a very satisfactory and blissful day. To be honest, I stood in awe of the school environment and teaching profession.
