The Show Must Go On!
Learning music, dance and drama has wide-reaching benefits for children, providing them with the tools to think creatively, innovate amd appreciate diverse cultures and backgrounds.
The performing arts encourages children to explore their emotions, expand their imagination and helps them develop their own, unique voice. Each discipline of music, dance and drama engage a child's brain, body and emotions in different ways to encourage their confidence and find joy in self expression.
The Art and Theatre class was something that each of us was really looking forward to. Theatre is a collaborative art form that helps you express yourself, helps you tell the stories of your life and the lives of others. The class was handled by Reju Sir, an exceptionally vibrant personality. He took us to an entirely new world of art. He engaged us in different activities and games, thereby making us relieved from all kinds of stress.
During the optional period, Aparna delivered a meaningful thought to us. 'Assignment Presentation' was managed by Sr. Jisha and Sona.
In the afternoon session, Dona ma'am discussed Spearman's Two-Factor Theory and its Educational Implications.
Later, Shabana ma'am discussed child centered education and life centered education. She also described the nature and characteristics of each of them.
The final session was taken by Sathyalekha ma'am. She made us more informative on Secularism in Education. She also discussed the need of secular education in India, characteristics of secular education and impact of secular education.
