Close the Care Gap πŸŽ€

"Once You Choose Hope, Anything's Possible!"

World Cancer Day is observed on February 4 every year to create awareness about cancer and the prejudices associated with it. The Union of International Cancer Control ( UICC ) has declared World Cancer Day to be a "global uniting initiative." The initiative refers that people across the globe are being urged to come together and battle the condition with the help of early detection, care, emotional support.

The theme of World Cancer Day 2022 is 'Close the Care Gap'. It is all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care around the globe.

"Cancer cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope, it cannot conquer the spirit."

The day commenced with our beloved Maya teacher's class on Physical Naturalism. She encouraged us to stay active and happy for maintaining a chemically balanced body, so that an equilibrium state can be attained. We also learnt that our Nature constitutes interdependence of both living and non-living things. Ma'am also gave a good lecture on - Mechanical Naturalism and Biological Naturalism.

The next session was managed by Ancy ma'am. Adolescence was the primary topic for the day. We earned an ample amount of knowledge on this. Further, there was a detailed discussion on Developmental Tasks and Developmental Hazards.

A developmental task is a task that arises at or about a certain period in the life of an individual, successful achievement of which leads to his happiness and success with later tasks, while failure leads to unhappiness in the individual, disapproval by the society and difficulty with later task.

Later during the optional class, it was my turn to discourse the thought for the day. The chosen topic seemed so much relevant to me, and I happily communicated it to my classmates - "Focus on being a good listener, which includes being patient and attentive."

And then, Monitha presented her seminar on 'Contributions of Great Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan'.

Finally, Deepthi ma'am explained about -
Curriculum Framework, National Curriculum Framework 2005 ( NCF 2005 ) and Objectives of Mathematics Learning in NCF.

"It takes a great man to be a good listener." - Calvin Coolidge
