Rakesh sir, a gem of a teacher! ๐
It was a pleasant friday morning. The first bell rang at 9:30 am. Silpa and I were assigned to class 10D. We spoke about menstruation and gave them an awareness regarding transgenders in our society. The students were attentive and jovially shared their viewpoints too. I felt grateful to have interacted with those loving kids.
During the second period, we were enquired to attend class 7E. They welcomed us with their innocent smiles. Their vibrant nature uplifted the positiveness of the class. We were fascinated by the artistic skill of few among them.
And then Lekshmi and I headed off to class 8C. It was their malayalam period then. At first we had a small interaction with the students, and then insisted them to read out few pages from a drama. After some time, Stalin sir got in and took seat at the back row. He made ourselves comfortable and we continued our teaching process.
Well.. during the fourth period, both of us got a chance for an observation class in 8G. Sheeja teacher taught them the construction of an isosceles trapezium. We keenly observed the teaching strategy implemented and noted down key points for future reference.
In the afternoon session, we were extremely obliged to have got the golden opportunity to observe Rakesh sir's Mathematics class in 10F. He seemed to be a highly professional teacher with great expertise in this field. Sir took class on cyclic quadrilaterals and intersection of chords. Students actively participated in his class and responded timely to his lectures. It was a very effective class indeed. Rakesh sir is definitely a gem of a teacher!๐ฅ
